Palazzo Nolfi on its hill in Le Marche at golden hour

Discover the heart of Italy

La dolce vita nelle Marche

Stone, light and long evenings

Palazzo Nolfi stands on a hill just outside Pergola, surrounded by six thousand square metres of garden and the soft hills of Le Marche. Original beams, terracotta floors and open fireplaces have been kept exactly as they were; everything you touch daily – beds, bathrooms, kitchens, wifi – is new.

There are five separate places to stay in the house, six bathrooms and a pool that catches the sun until late. You can be as social or as invisible as you like.

Rooms, apartments and a penthouse

Two double rooms, an apartment for two, an apartment for two to four and a 200 m² penthouse for four. Together with the seminar room the whole palazzo sleeps twelve to fourteen – ideal for families, friends or a small retreat.

A pool that stays warm after dinner

Ten by five metres, sun loungers, parasols and free pool towels. Between four and eight in the evening we serve antipasti and a glass of Verdicchio by the pool.

A medieval hill town in Le Marche at dusk

The real Italy, still undiscovered

Le Marche is what Tuscany was thirty years ago. Medieval towns like Urbino and Gubbio, truffle woods, small family wineries and the Adriatic coast around forty minutes away – without the coaches and the queues.

What to do around here

Hospitality is the whole point

We cooked and hosted in Austria for years before we came here. That habit stayed: dinner evenings on request, an arrival risotto after a long drive, honest advice on where to eat, and a cellar with Verdicchio, Rosso Conero and Bianchello.
